Concept Art school Review - Environment Painting Mentorship
He is currently active as a Concept Artist and Illustrator for various clients.
3D & 2D Environment Painting Mentorship
Tell us about yourself: Who are you, what do you love to do, and where are you from?
What were the biggest problems you faced when you started out as an artist?
My biggest problem always is confidence, while working on my art and color blindness. With this Concept art school, I have realized some things about me and my work, and it helped me to use the colors i can’t see, so it put me on the track to do better illustrations.
What did you do during the mentorship and what helped you on each task?
First part of the mentorship was acquiring skills to overcome color blindness, and setting up the character and overall illustration depth of painting. Second part was about environment work, and during this part, i have learned a lot about basic and advanced architecture, and setting up 3d and 2d assets to believable, and satisfactory presentation as illustration.
this was the first image we worked on. We have chosen a simple theme just to take confidence with Blender and Cycles and to learn all the tricks I needed. We have also used 32 bits colour grading and this is why the lights are so bright. We placed the assets together, choosing the right composition and lighting. Then we render the main scene and did a paint over on top, pushing the lights and painting the building.
Why did you choose our concept art school and not other art schools?
How was the Mentorship for you?
How would you recommend cgverse?
I would recommend to take the mentorship and really dig into what he needs to advance their skill.
